The City of Chicago DOE's Big Booth at Green Festival 2008
Huge crowds attended Chicago's Green Festival 2008 at Navy Pier on May 16 and 17.
At the show, Torque's first engagement with the City of Chicago's Department of Environment (DOE) was distinguished by the successful delivery of their centerpiece space and booth dedicated to their energy conservation programs. In partnership with WRD Environmental and Terracom Public Relations, Torque delivered a theme that encouraged attendees to "Be Green Save Green." The booth rose 14 feet in the air.
The booth, materials and message taught Chicagoans how to save as much as $700 a year, while also reducing their impact on the environment. Torque’s unique design was fresh and bold and featured 3-D materials, messages, nine interactive educational displays, and a bank of computer terminals linked to a microsite that gathered visitor information.
The entire structure and message was conveyed on 2-foot recycled craft shipping boxes, stacked and configured to create a highly interactive display. Visitors were incented by environmentally sustaining giveaways. Stay tuned for more green marketing initiatives coming from Torque!
